Just in: Virtual Beauty Lessons

Welcome to Myah Shein Makeup Artistry! After 15 years in the industry working with clients from the red carpet to the altar and everywhere in between, I’m thrilled to be launching my Virtual Beauty Lessons. As the world has been upended due to COVID-19, we’re asked to be more creative, innovative and motivated than ever before. And part of that applies to our beauty routine. If you’re used to touching and swatching testers, having products demonstrated on you in a store or having a makeup artist do your makeup for a big event, you probably know that’s all gone out the window. But that doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun with makeup and look and feel beautiful! That’s where virtual beauty services come in.

Cut Through the Noise

I’ll admit it. I’ve gotten sucked down the rabbit hole of YouTube beauty videos. What is it about watching someone do their own makeup and promote products that’s so compelling? YouTube can be entertaining, but let’s leave it at that. If you’re looking for products and techniques that will work for you, you’re not going to find the answers on YouTube. YouTube content creators make a living off promoting particular products, brand deals and sponsorships. And they are experts at making polished videos and looking awesome on camera. But that doesn’t help you trying to choose a foundation formula that will enhance your complexion or determine if you really need a 24 pan eyeshadow palette. And do you really need to do all those steps? Probably not. Wouldn’t it be nice to get some help parsing through the overwhelming sea of beauty products and trends out there?

Save Time and Money

If you’ve spent time wandering through the aisles at Sephora or in the chair of a department store beauty department, only to walk out either empty handed or with a bag full of confusing looking products, you’re not alone. Between advertising, online influencers, sales people with goals and commissions to meet, shopping for beauty products has become less about you, the client, and more about someone else’s bottom line. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone with real product knowledge and experience could walk you through the shopping experience and help you pick up exactly what you need? No more “trendy” lipstick colors that never see the light of day or drawers full of skincare products that go to waste because you’re never going to actually do that 22 step bedtime routine. In fact, what you spend on an hour of virtual personal shopping services could pay for itself by not wasting your time and money on products that don’t suit you.

Learn the Tips and Tricks to Feel Confident About Your Makeup

You know the saying, “If you give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day, but if you teach a man to fish, he’ll be fed for life.” The same is true for makeup. I truly believe that anyone can learn to do their own makeup for everyday, special occasions, professional settings and everything in between. It does take practice and finding the right teacher. So, turn off YouTube and start really learning. When I work one-on-one with clients, I get to know their skin, lifestyle and preferences. The lesson is completely customized to the client. I don’t have quotas, or sales goals, or brands to satisfy. My priority is my client!

Beauty isn't one-size-fits-all, cookie-cutter or filtered. If you're ready to take control of your makeup routine, turn down the volume on the Instgram noise and confidently feel like the best version of yourself, it's time for Virtual Beauty Lessons. Not sure where to start? Contact me today. I look forward to working with you!
